Mahoney Science Renovation
Mahoney Science Renovation
D.R. Anderson (DRA) successfully bid and was awarded this renovation project with Metropolitan Community College at their South Omaha Campus. Upon selection, DRA proposed value-engineering options which provided in excess of $40,000 in savings to MCC.
This project was to renovate the interior of this facility in four phases over a one year schedule. Also included was the construction of two major entrance vestibules to allow the facility to comply with ADA. Major areas included new science laboratories, respiratory, clinical nursing and dental science areas, new faculty offices and Commons areas.
The challenges of this renovation were to do the project in several phases to allow the school to remain in use. Each phase was tied to schedule milestones which coincided with MCC’s class offerings for each semester. DRA met each and every milestone allowing the class schedules to proceed without interruption.
