DRA Continues work for DCCC
DR Anderson completed a remodel at the Douglas County Corrections Center. This project was a phased approach to remodel 9 housing units, a recreational gym, and areas of the first floor at the corrections center. The remodel included the replacement of all lighting, interior glass, exterior glass, painting of all frames, minor plumbing replacement and the installation of new epoxy flooring in several showers. The work also included the removal and replacement of two large skylights as well as the installation of new exterior metal wall panels near one of the skylights. The project was unique in the fact that the corrections center stayed open and the inmates were removed from each housing unit for a period of 3 weeks for all the work to be completed and it was completed ahead of schedule. After the successful completion of Phase I, DRA has been awarded Phase II renovation work. The phase II renovation project includes mechanical-electrical upgrades as well as safety and security improvements for staff and inmates.
